Dallas' Coach D.Nelson has always favored small-ball, using athletic, small stature players to run the court and shoot the ball. His teams played small-ball when he coached the GSW (it was called Run DMC), the Knicks (oh so briefly, they soon fired him) and with the Dallas Mavericks. There are signs Skiles will, at times, have the Bulls play small-ball although Nelson's teams are not known to defend well whereas Skiles teams will.
"Our best lineup has been the small lineup in every game we played," Skiles said. "Every time we went with one big guy and four smaller players, that's when we've played our best."
